Chicago area churches are architecturally distinctive. From modern to ornate, from simple to majestic, they share a common vision of permanence and a common need of preservation.
Central’s experience in church wall preservation began with its earliest clients, in the 1920’s. As weather and age have taken their toll, maintenance needs increasingly require reconstruction of deteriorated and potentially dangerous masonry. Bell towers, finials, peaks, parapets and other architectural elements most exposed and vulnerable to abrasive wind, rain and dampness, in time must be dismantled and rebuilt. At Central, we prepare for each church project by studying the history and style of the structure and then apply an artisan’s craftsmanship to achieve a faithful restoration.
