Built in the 1920’s as the American Furniture Mart, the massive structure was among the largest single-use buildings in the world. Transformed 60 years later into a multi-use residential and commercial building. Beginning in 1996, Central Building & Preservation has been the façade rehabilitation contractor, responsible for masonry and terra cotta repair, replacement and reconstruction and for replacement or rehabilitation of deteriorated underlying supporting steel elements.
